Frequently Asked Questions

How far from the Railway station are you?
We are just over a mile from the rail station. It is a 5 minute taxi ride.

How far from the city centre are you?
We are 2 miles from the city centre. There is a regular bus service that runs from just outside the front door that goes directly the the heart of the city.

Do you allow smoking?
We are a strictly no smoking establishment.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel up to 7 days before your stay then we will make no charge. If you cancel less than 7 days before your stay you will need to pay for the nights you have booked, unless we can re-let the rooms.

Do you charge extra for using a credit/debit cards to pay the bill?
Currently, there are no additional charges if you pay by debit card. However credit cards do have a 3.5% surcharge.

When I book a room do I need to give a deposit ?
If you are unable to secure the room with a credit/debit card then a 1night deposit cheque will be required.

Do you do evening meals?
We do not, but there are plenty of good eating places within walking distance including a Frankie & Benny’s, Nando’s, Indian & Chinese restaurants and some pubs that serve food.

Do you serve alcohol?
We don’t but there are some nice pubs close by that we can recommend.

Do you have a guests lounge?
We don’t have a lounge but we do have a small room with tables and chairs for guests to use.

Do you have car parking?
We have car parking for 5 cars.

How do I get from the city centre or the railway station to you without using a Taxi?
You can get from the city or railway station to us by the Citi 3 bus route.

What time is checkout on Departure?
Checkout time is 10.30am, but please talk to us if you need to check out earlier or later.

If I am staying more than one night do I have to vacate my room during the day?
You do not have to vacate your room if you are staying more than one night.

Do you have phones in the rooms?
We do not have phones in the room.

Do you take dogs?
Dogs are welcome in our 2 ground floor rooms. Please let us know when you’re booking. Sorry but we don’t allow any other pets.

Do you take children and babies?
Children and babies are welcome.

Do you have a cot or high chair?
We do not have high chairs, but we do have cots.

Can you cater for vegetarians or Vegans?
We do cater for vegetarians. Vegans are more than welcome to bring their own soya butter/milk and we will keep it in the fridge for you. but please note we do not exclusively cater for vegetarians and vegans. Let us know your requirements when booking or when you check in

What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served between:
07.15hr - 09.00hr Mon to Fri
07.30hr-09.00hr Sat
08.00hr - 09.30hr Sun

How can I pay?
We accept debit & credit cards as well as cheques presented with a cheque guarantee card. We can also take cash payments. At the moment we can’t accept foreign currency (including Euros), travellers cheques or cheques without a guarantee card (including business cheques & building society cheques)

Can you change foreign currency?
We can’t, but there are banks near by that can.

Do you have a curfew time?
We do not have a curfew time as all guest get a front door key and are free to come and go as they please.
